Lake Forest Library offers specialized homebound services to our adult patrons who cannot come to the library. Arrangements can be made for books, audiobooks and/or DVDs to be delivered to the home of any Lake Forest resident. Please call the Adult Services department at 847-810-4613 for more information.
Large Print Books
The library has 1600 large print books available for loan, with additional titles available through interlibrary loan. Adult Services also maintains rotating collections of large print books at the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Senior Center and Westmoreland Nursing Center.

Library of Congress Talking Book program - Information and applications are available at the Adult Services Reference Desk for eligible local patrons.
The Aladdin Telesensory personal reader –Magnifies printed material and projects the image to a T. V. screen. Available for use in the Business Room of the Library.
A hand-held magnifier is available for patrons with some vision loss. It is located at the Circulation Desk and is for library use only.
SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES
An automated front door and wheel chair accessible ramp have been constructed to allow our patrons with physical disabilities entry to the library. An elevator on the first floor offers everyone the ability to visit all interior levels.
For those that require it, additional special accommodations can be made for library programs. Notice should be given at least one week in advance of program. Please call 847-810-4610 for further assistance.
