Children's Storytime

Storytime for 3, 4, 5, and 6 year olds and their caregivers in the Children's Library Activity Room. 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. Registration Begins for Preschool Storytimes April 1, Tuesday ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR MOST STORYTIME SESSIONS.  Children must be the appropriate age by the beginning of the session.  Class sizes are limited; Lake Forest residents receive priority.

Today's Book: The Gospel of Mark from the Bible 10:00 am to 11:30 am in the Conference Room What Great Books do you discuss?  We read 10-50 page readings selected by the Great Books Foundation and compiled in convenient paperback books.  They are classic and contemporary essays, short stories, plays, poems, and excerpts from literature that have influenced our culture.  Over the summer and December breaks we read longer books that the Foundation has suggested. (more info) Where can I buy the book with this year’s selections?  The Lake Forest Library reference librarian has copies for purchase. A beautiful frame that needs repair? A faded old photograph that you’d like to restore?Specialists from the Conservation Center, Chicago, will be available to offer advice about paintings, prints, photographs.
