The Friends of Lake Forest Library are pleased to announce they will be awarding $2000 senior scholarships in May of 2014 to students who clearly demonstrate a passion for reading. Graduating high school seniors who are residents of Lake Forest, Lake Bluff or Knollwood are eligible to apply for this award.  The scholarship application consists of an application form, a 500-word essay, and a recommendation from an adult.   Lake Forest High School students can apply through the College Resource Center at Lake Forest High School.  Scholarship applications will be available there by early February, and must be returned by April 4, 2014.

In 2003, Friends of Lake Forest Library inaugurated the senior scholarship program to recognize students in whose lives reading plays an integral and enriching role.

Funds for these awards come from the proceeds of the annual Book Sale held every September.
