					LAKE FOREST LIBRARY SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING LAKE FOREST LIBRARY SERVICES COMMITTEE MEETING Lake Forest Library Board of Trustees Services Committee Meeting 6:30 pm March 13, 2007, Minutes Present: Ruth Plandowski, Chair; Christopher Bacon, Kathy Pierson, Bob Thornburg, Trustees; Winifred Duncan, President; Kaye Grabbe, Administrative Librarian The Committee recommended approval of the Medica sculpture; the artist is local resident Peter Hessemer. The location will be just south of the Library front entrance, on the grassy side of the bench. The Committee recommended approval of a change in Library Rules to allow bottled water and covered drinks in the public areas of the building without computer equipment. The Committee recommended inclusion of the revised versions of American Library Association’s Freedom to Read, Labeling Library Materials, Library Bill of Rights in the Board Policy Manual. A number of other revisions where approved; these are housekeeping items, such as changing ‘videos’ to ‘audio visuals’ to include DVDs and CD ROMs, for example.
