State Funding Cuts

Loss of state funding to our support system has caused confusion about what services are affected, for patrons and staff alike.

• If patrons request a book that we own, their hold will only apply to our copy. There will no longer be interlibrary loans of titles we already own.

• If patrons have a Lake Forest Library card, they can still request books that the Library does not own for now.


• If patrons have a card from another library, they can still use it to check out our materials. Items checked out from Lake Forest must be returned here.
They should check with their home library for details on how interlibrary loans will be managed; library policies will differ in other communities.

As of November 2010-NSLS has received funding that should insure delivery services through June 30, 2011. July 1, 2011 is the date for 5 systems to merge.
