Susan Mortensen used the Media Lab to scan hundreds of 35mm slides and photographs that her late father left, some with images from as early as the 1920s. Although there were thousands to choose from, Mortensen decided only to scan the ones that had family members in them. Afterwards, she edited and enhanced them using iPhoto and then posted them online so that she was able to easily share them with friends and family. She arranged them into albums and gave each image a title and a caption. "It's just unbelievable what you can do here. It's a walk down memory lane for me."
Nature and Photojournalism have always been my primary interests and I've done a lot in both. I've taught Photojournalism and I've given a number of programs and exhibits. I have to say that Photography is my passion.
I was a film shooter until the digital age took so over that I decided, non-techie as I am, I've got to begin learn to shoot digitally. And then, more and more of my friends were into really using Photoshop, Elements, and Lightroom and all these advanced techniques which I found very difficult to learn.
