Donate to the “Sweet Dreams” Pajama and Book Drive at Lake Forest Library

Through November 15, 2026, in the Library Foyer, donate new pajamas and new bedtime books for children from newborns to age 12 as part of Sweet Dreams, a program sponsored by State Senator Julie Morrison.

Every year, hundreds of children in Morrison's district are reported abused or neglected, many of them unable to return to their homes because of unsafe conditions. Volunteers with Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) step in to help children through the complex and often-lengthy process in which a judge will determine where they may safely and permanently live, as well as ensure children have access to the material items and resources they need to adjust to their new circumstances. CASA advocates are trained citizen-volunteers and currently serve approximately 600 children.

Many of the children served by CASA are living in foster homes or working toward stability with their biological families. Your donated items can provide a little comfort during what is a difficult time in these children's lives.

Thank you for your support and generosity!
