Winter is the perfect time to cozy up in your blanket fort and strengthen good reading habits! We're reading together and earning prizes.
- All formats count: You can read printed books, read aloud to youngsters, and listen to audiobooks.
- All ages count: You can participate from birth onward. We love it when the whole family gets involved.
Get started with Beanstack
Register in the Beanstack app. You can then choose to track your books in the app and/or with paper log sheets.
Visit a Library service desk
You can start and complete the reading program in the Beanstack app. Visit a Library service desk to ...
- Pick up paper log sheets, if you prefer to track your reading that way.
- Get and submit raffle tickets you've earned.
- Pick up prizes you've earned.

Youth through Grade 6
Read or listen to books for 20 days.
For every 10 days, earn 1 book prize. (Limit 2)
For every 10 days, earn 1 raffle ticket. (Limit 2)

Blind Date with a Book
January 14–February 14, 2026
Surprise me!
Visit the Rotunda, Teen Space, and Children's Library to borrow Blind Date books and audiobooks.
You can't judge them by their covers because we've wrapped them in festive paper.
Use the hints on the wrapper to find characters and themes that pique your interest.
Prize me!
Your first prize is we hope you ended up enjoying a book that maybe you wouldn't have picked up on your own, and that it leads you to many more new-to-you books to try!
To enter the grand prize drawing for a chance to win a gift card to Sweet's, complete the Rate Your Date card that was in your Blind Date Book and return it to a service desk. Good luck!
