Create a haiku
Unleash the poet in you
We'll love it, it's true!
Celebrate National Poetry Month with us by writing a haiku, a 3-line poem with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. All ages can stop by the Children's or Reference Desk to pick up special paper for writing your original haiku. Submit your poem by April 30 and we'll put it on display and enter you in a drawing for a chance to win your choice of a Lake Forest Book Store gift card or a magnetic poetry set.
