The program will explore our closest star, the Sun, through an engaging lecture and live telescope observations, weather permitting. You'll have an opportunity to learn about the Sun's structure, solar activity, and its fascinating features such as sunspots and prominences, which will be visible through the telescope. The program is brought to you by the Physics Department at Lake Forest College and the college's Astronomy Club.
