Create a haiku
Unleash the poet in you
We'll love it, it's true!
Visit a service desk to pick up special paper to write your very own space-themed haiku. A haiku is a 3-line poem with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and 5 in the third. Submit your out-of-this-world poem by April 30 and we'll display it and enter you in a drawing for a chance to win your choice of a Lake Forest Book Store gift card or a magnetic poetry set.
Know Before You Go
This event is in-person.
Elevator updates are scheduled to begin January 7 and continue throughout the month. New wiring, improved controls, and an ADA-compliant communication system will make the elevator more reliable and accessible. Your Librarians are happy to retrieve items from other floors for you; please ask at a service desk.
