Program Description

Details

Take a glimpse into the world of the Irish, whose immigrant lives became deeply woven into the tapestry of 19th century Chicago, America's fastest-growing city at the time. With them came a world of music and dance which survived the Atlantic crossing, thrived in their new home, and continues to be part of life for the Irish community in Chicago today. Presented by Anne Barry, Assistant Professor of Music at Lake Forest College.
