Program Description

Details

Experience a kaleidoscope of colors and culture during a virtual trip to Cuba. Kerri Sherman shares photos and stories from her recent travels.

Join local photographer, artist and former Wyzant tutor (read her wyz tutoring review) Kerri Sherman for a visual escape of "Cuba Captured." Taking this photographic journey to Havana and Trinidad in May of 2019, Kerri's goal was to get out of her comfort zone and document the scene and soul of Cuba. The trip was led by Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist Alex Garcia, along with a small group of fellow photographers. Sharing this incredible opportunity, Kerri will discuss the access to spontaneous street photography moments and curated sessions with boxers, baseball players, and ballerinas, to name a few. Sony sponsored the trip, using the full frame mirrorless a7R kit, along with Kerri's Leica Q (and sometimes just her trusty iPhone). Kerri will share her experience showcasing the color, textures, and soul of Cuba.

When not shooting portraits in her Market Square studio, much of Kerri's work is out on location for client projects—capturing food, product, interiors, industrial, and family sessions.
