Rules

  1. Entries must be between 2,000 and 10,000 words
  2. Entries can be fiction or nonfiction, but must involve some theme from "Searching for Sylvie Lee" (immigration, loss, family, sisters, set in New York, the Netherlands, or China, etc.)
  3. Entries must be typed and uploaded by October 30 using the webform on this page

Prizes

  • Story published on Lake Forest Library's website and promoted on social media
  • Signed copy of the book "Searching for Sylvie Lee"
  • $50 gift card to Lake Forest Book Store
  • $50 gift card to The Gallery restaurant
