On August 3, 2019, Governor J.B. Pritzker signed Bill HB 2832 into law designating "April as Sikh Awareness and Appreciation Month" in the state of Illinois. In support of this initiative, Lake Forest Library has book displays in the Rotunda and Children's Library and a digital collection in Libby/OverDrive focused on the Sikh religion and culture.

Sikhism is the fifth-largest world religion. Sikhs and Sikh Americans have had notable achievements and made significant contributions worldwide as farmers, soldiers, entrepreneurs, congressmen, scientists, actors, and more.

Please stop by the Library to explore the titles shared on this page as well as more items about Sikhism and other world religions.
