Friends of the Lake Forest Library Scholarships now available 2022

Each spring, the Friends award $2,000 scholarships to up to three graduating high school seniors who demonstrate a passion for reading. Students from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood are eligible to apply. The Friends of Lake Forest Library inaugurated this scholarship in 2003 to recognize students whose lives are enriched by reading.

Application Process

  1. Complete the application form.
  2. Submit a 500-word essay.
  3. Include a letter of recommendation from an adult who is not a relative.
  4. Submit completed application to:
    1. The College and Career Resource Center by March 15, 2022.
    2. Drop off completed application to Lake Forest Library by 5:00 pm on March 15, 2022.
    3. Mailed applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2022.
