(Past event) Earth Month Scavenger Hunt in the Children's Library

Join us in the Children's Library throughout April for an Earth Month Scavenger Hunt. Complete nine challenges to earn a prize at the Children's Library circulation desk.

The City of Lake Forest, Parks & Recreation, Lake Forest Library, Elawa Farm, Green Minds, Lake Forest Open Lands, and Gorton Community Center are partnering this April to celebrate Earth Day with a month of eco‑friendly activities. The theme this year is "Act for Earth."

Join us in Market Square from Noon to 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 3, to participate in the kick-off event. Meet Bart the Cart and learn about composting with an Earth Machine. Stop by the photo booth to pose with your "This I Can Do, 2022" pledged action slip. Learn and be entertained from a variety of presentations and performances including a bicycle safety expert, Joey FineRhyme freestyle rhyme master, and an exhibit from Wildlife Discover Center.
