EXTENDED THROUGH JUNE 24. Midwest Veterans Closet is a not‑for-profit organization located in North Chicago, just north of the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. It operates as a super spreader of food, goods, and dignity for our military heroes, many of whom are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness.
Midwest Veterans Closet also provides for active‑duty service members, many of whom are newly stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes, the only Naval Recruit Training Center in the country.
June 13–24, Lake Forest Library is collecting food, durable goods, cat and dog food, and gift cards to be donated to Midwest Veterans Closet. We hope you will join us in giving back to those who have helped provide for our freedoms.
