TREEmendous Library Cards: TREET YOURSELF

Season 1 was Root. Season 2 was Log On. Season 3 was Branch Out. Season 4 was Turn Over a New Leaf. Season 5 was Made in the Shade. Now it's time to Treet Yourself!

We're in the homestretch of our "5 Seasons of Library Card Love & Prize Drawings." Each season has featured an arboreal theme and shared ways that library cards are beneficial.

If you're reading this newsletter in November, you still have time to get a library card or use your library card to be entered in the Season 5 prize drawing (and the Grand Prize drawing).

Our goal is for 10% more Lake Foresters to get and use library cards by December 2025. That means that out of approximately 19,000 residents, the stable pool of library cardholders climbs from 7,300 to 8,000.

TREEmendous Grand Prizes

If you signed up for a new library card or used your library card September 2024–November 2025, your name will be reentered for a chance to win a Book of the Month Club subscription from Lake Forest Book Store.

Thank you all for participating in the TREEmendous Library Card Campaign, and good luck!

Thank You for Your Referrals

When you let us know that you've encouraged a fellow Lake Forester to get a library card, you've earned an additional entry in that season’s prize drawing. We've had eight referrals so far, which doesn't sound like many, but actually means a lot because your word‑of‑mouth is so powerful. Every time you talk about libraries with others, you support what libraries are all about: strong literacy and generous communities.

As a special thank you for going the extra mile, we will have one special prize drawing just for referrals. With such a small pool, the odds of winning are pretty good!

If you are reading this newsletter before the end of 2025, you can still refer someone and be entered for a chance to win a Lake Forest Book Store gift card.

The Final Tally to Come

We look forward to announcing the results of the TREEmendous Library Card Campaign in the spring newsletter. Regardless of the final numbers, we hope you enjoyed the seasonal themes, that you see your library card in a new light, and that your library usage has grown or evolved in ways that benefit your life.

Stay tuned for the spring newsletter.
