November 15, 2018 – LAKE FOREST Ill – Step back in time with a series of events about Chicago history at Lake Forest Library.

Kick off the holiday season on Saturday, December 1 at 10:00 am by remembering the walk down State Street and incomparable window displays that defined Christmas at Marshall Field's for decades.

Put history into context on Wednesday, December 5 at 7:00 pm with a virtual reality representation of the 1929 St. Valentine's Day Massacre presented by the Chicago History Museum. Download the app in advance at chicago00.org to browse documents and photos from museum and newspaper archives and gain a new perspective on Prohibition and Al Capone.
