October 28, 2022 — LAKE FOREST Ill — The Board of Lake Forest Library announces that Catherine Lemmer, Executive Director, will retire at the end of the calendar year to pursue other opportunities. During her six-year tenure, Ms. Lemmer transformed library operations and services. Notable accomplishments under her leadership include the development and implementation of operational policies, a focus on transparent financial reporting, and numerous technology upgrades. These advancements include the launch of RFID and self-check services, migration to integrated cloud platforms, transition to faster and more reliable fiber internet, expanded wireless connectivity, and installation of new computers for both patrons and staff.
