A look back into Lake Forest Library’s history
Lake Forest is rich in history, and perhaps one of its greatest treasures is the Lake Forest Library. Graciously sprawled across a beautiful piece of property at 650 E. Deerpath Road near downtown Lake Forest, the front lawn is embellished with sculptures by artist Michael Croydon that were commissioned and donated to the library by the Deerpath Art League. The eight-paneled Art Deco mural that graces the interior library rotunda is evidence of the original history of giving by the Shedd sisters.
